In 1970s and 1980s Rio de Janeiro, two young capoeira brothers, Veneno and Noivo, are torn apart by tragedy, each taking a different path in the city's underworld. Seventeen years later, Veneno fights in secret, while Noivo returns, driven by a sense of foreboding tied to their master's daughter, Ventania.
