Merhamet (2013 Turkish Drama)

Merhamet tells the story of Narin Yılmaz Kazan (Özgü Namal), a lawyer from a poor family in a small Aegean town with an abusive alcoholic father. Struggling against family pressure to quit school, Narin escapes to Istanbul, where through dedicated study she becomes a successful lawyer. She makes friends with a rich girl, Deniz (Burçin Terzioğlu), whose sister Irmak (Yasemin Allen) returns from Switzerland to Istanbul. Narin’s childhood love Fırat (İbrahim Çelikkol), who is now Irmak’s boyfriend, reappears in her life, creating emotional turmoil. Narin must reconcile with her traumatic past and search for her lost family while navigating this complicated love triangle.
