Struggling actor Simon Williams (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II) learns that legendary director Von Kovak is remaking the classic superhero film Wonder Man, a project Simon adored as a child.
Desperate for his big break, Simon pursues the title role and befriends fellow actor Trevor Slattery (Ben Kingsley), who once infamously posed as the terrorist the Mandarin.
