Desperation Road (2023)

Maben, a homeless mother, is trying to protect her young daughter while surviving in a violent Mississippi town. After defending herself against a corrupt police officer, she flees with the officer’s gun and unexpectedly takes Russell Gaines hostage. Recently released from prison, Russell is already being hunted by the brothers of a man whose death sent him to jail. Instead of abandoning Maben, he chooses to help her. As their troubled pasts collide, the pair must trust each other while escaping revenge, corruption, and the law.
