Kindling (2023)

Sid is a young man with terminal testicular cancer who knows he may not have much time left. While his closest friends leave for university, Sid remains in their hometown undergoing treatment. When they return for one final summer together, he creates a ritual to preserve their friendship: each friend must find an object representing love, home, family, friendship, or the place they grew up. They plan to burn the objects in a huge bonfire, which Sid believes will turn their memories into a lasting legacy. As the friends confront old tensions, romance, and Sid’s approaching death, the summer becomes a celebration of life and the bond they share.
