Moon Students (2023)

At a community college in Los Angeles, history professor Ethan Cole clashes with Antonio, a Latino student, after responding aggressively to a classroom presentation. Antonio is suspended following the confrontation, but the arrival of the COVID-19 pandemic closes the campus and moves classes online. Antonio’s girlfriend, Lita, tries to understand what really happened while dealing with racism, social injustice, student activism, and the deterioration of their relationship. As Antonio becomes increasingly self-destructive and Professor Cole confronts his own prejudices and failures, the three are forced to face the truth and find their voices during an uncertain period.
