The Burial (2023)

Based on a true story, the film follows Jeremiah “Jerry” O’Keefe, a Mississippi funeral-home owner whose business is threatened after a deal with the powerful Loewen Group falls apart. Facing financial pressure, Jerry hires Willie E. Gary, a flamboyant and highly successful personal-injury lawyer, to represent him. Their contrasting personalities initially clash, but they form an unlikely partnership as the case develops into a larger battle over corporate power, racial injustice, and the survival of a family business.
