The Last First: Winter K2 (2026)

In 2021, Icelandic mountaineer John Snorri Sigurjónsson joins Pakistani father-and-son climbers Ali and Sajid Sadpara in a historic attempt to become the first team to summit K2 during winter. However, their expedition quickly becomes a dangerous race as a Nepali team led by Nirmal “Nims” Purja and a group of commercial climbers arrive with the same ambition. Battling extreme cold, violent winds, exhaustion, and deadly competition, the climbers confront the harsh realities of modern mountaineering. Through their tragedy, the documentary examines ambition, class, recognition, money, and the price of glory.
