An unnamed ex-con and master thief is released from prison after 15 years and travels to the fictional town of Banshee, Pennsylvania, to find his former lover and accomplice, Anastasia (Ana). He discovers she is living a new life as Carrie Hopewell, married to the local district attorney with two children, one of whom is his biological daughter, Deva.
