12 Monkeys (2015 TV Series)

The series begins in the year 2043, where a deadly plague, the Kalavirus, has wiped out seven billion people in 2017, forcing the remaining survivors to live underground. A scavenger named James Cole (played by Aaron Stanford) is recruited by a team of scientists led by physicist Katarina Jones (Barbara Sukowa) for "Project Splinter", an experimental time-travel program.
