Doctor Who (2005 TV Series)
Rose Tyler, a shop assistant in London, encounters the Doctor when mannequins in the department store where she works come to life. After helping defeat the Nestene Consciousness, Rose accepts the Doctor’s invitation to travel in the TARDIS. Their adventures take them to the far future, where the Sun is about to destroy Earth; Victorian Cardiff, where the dead are reanimated by the Gelth; and 1980s London, where the Slitheen manipulate world leaders into starting an interplanetary war. The Doctor and Rose also meet Captain Jack Harkness and confront the Daleks, whose survival forces the Doctor to face the trauma of the Time War.
