Komi Can’t Communicate (Japanese: 古見さんは、コミュ症です。, 2021) is a romantic‑comedy anime about Shouko Komi, the most admired girl at Itan Private High School, who appears cool and unapproachable but actually has extreme social anxiety and a communication disorder. On the first day, ordinary student Hitohito Tadano sits beside her, discovers she struggles to speak, and after they exchange notes on the blackboard learns her dream: to make 100 friends in high school. Tadano becomes her first friend and dedicates himself to helping her reach that goal, navigating school life alongside a colorful cast of classmates.
