The Great Queen Seondeok (2009) is a 62‑episode MBC historical epic about Deokman, one of twin princesses born to King Jinpyeong and Queen Maya of Silla. A prophecy that twins would end the male line forces the king to secretly send infant Deokman away to the Taklamakan Desert to protect her from Lady Mishil, a powerful court figure intent on seizing the throne.
