The Story of Ming Lan (2018 Chinese Drama)

Set during the Northern Song Dynasty, the story follows Sheng Ming Lan, an unfavored concubine-born sixth daughter of an official named Sheng Hong, the magistrate of Yangzhou. Following the tragic and untimely death of her concubine mother, Ming Lan’s life becomes a nightmare. Her stepmother and half-siblings mistreat her, leaving her seething from the injustice and longing for revenge on those responsible for her mother’s downfall.
