Yona of the Dawn (2014 Anime Series)

Yona of the Dawn (Japanese: 暁のヨナ, 2014) is a 24‑episode fantasy adventure anime by Studio Pierrot, adapted from Mizuho Kusanagi’s manga. In the kingdom of Kouka, sheltered Princess Yona lives under her pacifist father, King Il, protected by her childhood friend and bodyguard Son Hak and harboring feelings for her cousin Soo‑won. On the night of her 16th birthday, Yona’s world shatters when Soo‑won murders her father and seizes the throne. Forced to flee with Hak, Yona vows to grow strong enough to survive and one day reclaim her birthright, setting out on a quest tied to an ancient legend of four dragon warriors who will rally behind a red‑haired savior.
