Huw and Patrick’s conflict to a dangerous breaking point. Having anticipated Huw’s plan, Patrick escapes during a tense drive across the moors, leaving Huw’s carefully prepared attempt to control the situation in ruins. Huw then lies to Jenny about Patrick’s escape, attempting to hide what has happened while he searches for his former nemesis. Patrick’s daughter, Margot, visits him and reacts with fury after learning how close he came to carrying out his plan. Her anger highlights the damage Patrick’s actions have caused within his own family as well as to his victims.
