Lucy Letby: Scapegoat (2026)

This investigative documentary re-examines the case of former neonatal nurse Lucy Letby, who was convicted of murdering seven babies and attempting to murder seven others at the Countess of Chester Hospital. Journalist Rob Pattinson reviews the prosecution’s evidence through interviews with an anonymous senior consultant, medical experts, hospital insiders, and a bereaved parent. The film questions whether staffing shortages, overcrowding, hospital governance failures, infection concerns, and alternative medical explanations were properly considered. It also examines disputed evidence about alleged air injections and asks whether institutional failures were wrongly attributed to one nurse. The documentary presents competing views while noting that Letby’s convictions remain legally valid.
