Liza Drake is a struggling single mother desperate to provide a better life for her daughter, Phoebe. After losing her job, she accepts an opportunity from pharmaceutical sales representative Pete Brenner and joins the failing company Zanna Therapeutics. Liza’s determination quickly turns the business around, bringing her money, luxury, and influence. However, she soon discovers that the company’s success depends on bribing doctors to promote an addictive fentanyl-based drug.
