Dead Like Me (2003 TV Series) - Season 1 - Episode 7

Across 14 episodes, the narrative structures weekly dark-comedy beats through a serialized afterlife-adjustment arc. Early installments focus on George’s death, her first reap, and the reaper-team dynamic; middle arcs delve into Mason’s schemes, Betty’s backstory, and George’s attempts to reconnect with her family; later episodes tighten the stakes as Daisy’s arrival shifts the group, George’s loophole backfires, and the team confronts the weight of their duties. The rhythm balances irreverent humor with emotional depth, using the grim-reaper premise to frame a story of mortality, responsibility, and finding meaning after death.
