Santa Clarita Diet (2017 TV Series) - Season 1 - Episode 4

Across three seasons, the narrative structures weekly dark-comedy beats through a serialized zombie-family arc. Early installments focus on Sheila’s transformation, the first murder, and the family’s adjustment; middle arcs delve into the search for a cure, the targeting of criminals, and Abby’s rebellion; later episodes tighten the stakes as the fracking-site explosion, the family’s exposure risk, and the final cliffhanger converge. The rhythm balances gore and humor with emotional depth, using the suburban setting to frame a story of marriage, family, and the cost of survival.
