Lionsgate’s viral 2022 hit Fall surprised box-office analysts by turning a simple premise, two friends trapped atop a decaying 2,000-foot radio tower into a massive theatrical and streaming phenomenon, the survival franchise is preparing to take vertigo-inducing horror to an entirely new peak.
Directed by the Spierig Brothers (Peter and Michael Spierig), the upcoming sequel Fall 2: Deadpoint is officially locked in for a nationwide theatrical release on September 2, 2026.
Trading the desert radio tower for the sheer, unforgiving rock faces of international peak climbing, the sequel follows Jax Hunter (Harriet Slater). Still reeling from past traumatic loss, Jax bonds with her friend Luce (Arsema Thomas) to tackle a notorious mountain plank walk. When a sudden rockfall obliterates their descent route, the pair finds themselves suspended thousands of feet in the air, stranded on a rapidly failing narrow structure with no immediate rescue in sight.
With early footage teasing extreme high-altitude tension and Lionsgate already exploring expanding the survival universe into a broader trilogy, Fall 2: Deadpoint is gearing up to be one of the most pulse-pounding theatrical experiences of the year.
