X-Men ’97 (2024 Cartoon Series) - Season 2 - Episode 3: "Rise of Apocalypse – Part I"

The narrative flashes thousands of years into the past to Ancient Egypt (3000 B.C.), following the other half of the stranded team including Magneto, Professor Charles Xavier, Rogue, Nightcrawler, and Beast. Forge and Bishop's cosmic rescue plan is completely upended by an unexpected visitor. The episode heavily explores the fascinating dynamic between Magneto and a young, relatively innocent En Sabah Nur long before he becomes the Darwinian conqueror Apocalypse. Magneto attempts to guide and rewrite the young warrior's fate to save mutantkind rather than oppress it, setting up a massive historical cliffhanger.
